Three soldiers from the Central Security Force were shot and wounded in Fayoum Sunday by unknown assailants.
Investigators said the trio were on their way back from a work mission when attackers shot at them from a roadside farm and fled. The soldiers were taken to the hospital.
Since the ouster of former president Mohamed Morsi in 2013, police and army forces have endured recurrent bloody attacks that have left hundreds dead. Authorities blame morsi’s outlawed Muslim Brotherhood for many of the attacks.
